Our story
A little of Rio, above the rooftops of Kathmandu
Copacabana began with a simple idea: take the warmth and colour of a Brazilian beach and lift it onto a rooftop with one of the best views in the valley.
The concept
Where Latin America meets the Himalaya
Named after the famous shoreline of Rio de Janeiro, Copacabana is a 360° rooftop lounge, restaurant and bar perched atop the Everest Bank Building in Naxal. By day it's an open-air escape with panoramic valley views; by night, lanterns glow and the music starts.
The food travels as freely as the mood — tacos, burritos and nachos from the Latin side, momos and sizzlers from closer to home, fresh prawns from the grill, and a cocktail list built for sunset. It's a place for long lunches, first dates, big birthdays and everything between.
One rooftop, two names. Copacabana Kathmandu also operates as Barrack Rooftop Lounge by Copacabana — the same venue, the same 360° terrace atop the Everest Bank Building in Naxal.

What we're about
Four things we never compromise on
Tropical at heart
Palms, lanterns and a beach-inspired terrace that carries a little of Rio to the Himalaya.
A kitchen without borders
Latin-American plates and Nepalese favourites, cooked side by side and meant for sharing.
Made for evenings
Live music, DJ nights and a full bar turn the rooftop into the city's golden-hour stage.
Genuine hospitality
The thing guests mention most after the view — warm, attentive, unhurried service.

Come for the view. Stay for the night.
